About the Coal River Songwriters Music Festival

St. Albans Live Music Scene

At the point where the Coal River meets the Kanawha, stories have always found their way to St. Albans. The Coal River Songwriters Festival carries that tradition forward—bringing together local talent and artists from across the region for a weekend of raw, original music on Main Street. This isn’t background noise. It’s songs with something to say, played in the kind of spaces where every word lands and every note matters.
